Travis Scott isn’t exactly known for his forehand, but he stars alongside tennis icon John McEnroe in a new Nike ad for their upcoming “Mac Attack” sneaker.

In addition to playing golf, La Flame appears to be expanding his horizons into the world of tennis as he faced off with the Mr. Deeds star to promote the return of Nike’s Mac Attack shoe later this month.

“Gotta get low,” the Nike-sponsored musician says in the “Rebel Like the OG” ad that debuted on Monday (June 12). “Man, you ain’t said nothing for a thousand. Say no more, what we doing?”

McEnroe, one of tennis’ biggest bad boys during his heyday, replies: “Come on, here we go. Let’s go hit a few. Get a tennis racket.”

The mid-top Mac Attack is set to arrive on June 23 with a retail price of $120, and features its OG colorway of light silver and black across the signature Nike silhouette.

June 23 is shaping up to be a busy month for Travis Scott, who is rumored to be dropping his long-awaited Utopia album in the coming weeks.

“We have a new Travis Scott record, expected to come in June,” Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone said in an interview with Billboard earlier this year.

Scott has been tight-lipped about the project, but has been teasing its arrival by bringing a secretive Utopia briefcase with him to every public appearance of late.

The 32-year-old also made a trip to Minute Maid Park in his hometown of Houston, Texas last month where he reportedly played the finished version of Utopia for the Houston Astros.

NBA superstar Kevin Durant also added to the Utopia hype in March when he described the album as “fucking insane” while recalling a conversation with the Cactus Jack founder.

While further details remain scarce, Travis Scott recently shed light on the sound of Utopia during a rare interview with PIN-UP magazine in May.

“I made most of my new album on an MPC,” he said. “I got new ones; I got some old ones. My favorite is the 2000XL. It produces a very distinctive sound that makes it feel alive.”

He even provided his definition of Utopia, describing it as “something that people feel is so far-fetched and out of reach, some perfect state of mind. But you create it yourself.”
